I don't like football (soccer) but to say it requires no skill is just wrong, plain and simple. The sport relies on being fast, skilled, and balanced, it also requires much faster reflexes due to it being a faster sport than American football.
You also have to realize, holding a ball and running trying to avoid people is far more easier than kicking a ball and having to navigate it, dodge people without using any physical contact, and avoid people with skill with less control of the ball due to having to kick it to travel, not hold it to travel.
I think football (soccer) is a sport of art, regardless of me not ever wanting to watch it, where as American football is mainly about whaling on eachother.
