Is it normal to think so much?

I always try to completely understand everything, even if it's not important at all, and it drives me crazy. I was reading Sports Illustrated, and in a letter, a reader responded to an article that said that Dick Butkus had one of the toughest names you could have. For whatever reason, I spent the next twenty minutes dissecting the parts of his name trying to see what makes it tough. Whenever someone tells me something, I'll replay it in my head trying to get a complete picture of what they mentioned. I'll see signs on the side of the road, and spend the rest of the car ride pondering the origins of the signs. Like I said, it's driving me crazy. Is this normal?

This is not some sort of deep 'thinking'. You are not special.

Thinking can suck at times. The only
problem with it is that you have to live in a world where most people never think. I envy the non-thinkers.

    FROM MY EXPERIENCE:

Yeah that's normal.... but that fact doesn't makes it any less horrible...

Buddy this is called Madness, except the fact that mad people say it out loud but you do the same in your head.

Only way to get rid of this madness is
Let that out... Let those deep thoughts, desires, words come out.

YES. Sounds like me in a nutshell.

Dick Butkus. Let's see here. the 'ck' part of his first name makes it sound tough because, it's harsh sounding. And the 'bt' part in his last name is the same way. Discuss?
