Is it normal to think sarcasm is good humor?

Okay so I like being sacarstic. I mean I'm not like a TOTAL wise-ass and I don't necessarily attack people with words or anything I just like using sarcasm as humor. Especially the funny sarcastic quotes from books and movies. I use those sometimes so technically these comments don't come from me I just know when to use them. Lol. Some people get it, but most take it like I'm being rude. Should I try to just keep my mouth shut, smile and nod or just ignore them and continue with my twisted humor. HAHA.

    I am in a very sarcastic household and we have the best laughs. However, some people who take themselves too seriously don't like you making fun of them.

    My mother in law hates me. When I first met her she asked what I thought about something she was wearing and what people would think. Me being me, I said, "Aw behave, who'd be looking at you?" It's not like she was a gorgeous teenager out to catch a man!!

    Be careful when using it online. I had to invent a little sarcasm symbol \s/ so I could clarify when I was using it here. I'm still getting replies to a post I wrote about Tom Cruise being a 6'4" heterosexual who is in no way affiliated to space aliens. I don't understand how anyone could have thought that was anything other than sarcasm but, nope, the constant tide of "I think Tom Cruise is shorter than that. Get your facts straight" continues to flow without any ebb in sight.

      there is know a genuinely copyrighted sarcasm symbol that you have to pay to download... i think it was a failed business venture.

    If you overuse sarcasm then please gtfo. But if its sarcasm in mild amounts then yes its funny.

    I'm a bit sarcastic, and a wee bit of a wise ass. It annoys my husband sometimes but he'll live. I need various types of humor in my life.

    lol it depends. i also use a lot of sarcasm but many people laugh, they say my tone of voice changes just a little when im sarcastic.. x) so no one gets offended, then again i smile when being sarcastic so people usually know not to take it serious.

    I like sardonic humor. I've even done it in public. When planning to speak about an issue in a city council meeting, I carefully planned and went over my presentation in advance. When the day came one guy even referred back to part of what I said. When it was over one leader said he was hiding under the table and another said she found it hard not to crack up.

    Aw shucks, I hit no when I meant to hit yes. :( I'm sarcastic all the time with friends and family. They don't know when I'm being serious anymore.

    I don't mind humorous sarcasm from people I know. you gotta laugh, ya know. I just dont care for it when it's ALL the time. Then I think they want me to go away and never be heard from again.
