Is it normal to think polygamy is normal?

When you love someone its hard to share. They become a piece of your heart and your cant give that away for just anyone to use. :p Though theres nothing wrong with an open relationship, its just some of us are not designed for it.

I am a 1 girl type of guy. If she wants to sleep with other guys she is more than welcome. But she wont be coming home to me at the end of the night.

There is also a post on here that asked "Is it normal that I want a three person relationship" that one is mine ;) Personally, I don't see anything wrong with polygamy. Infact, I would LOVE to have a boyfriend, who has a boyfriend, that is also my boyfriend. That would be the ultimate awsome! But, I guess it depends on the veiwpoint of the people in the relatioship.

Yeah it's not only human at all , many animal species mate for life. I'd actually guess that that is how humans originally began and it's actually vice verse to what your saying.

I know a lot of people that prefer to settle with one partner rather than multiple. I am one of those people. To me, having a stable life with one partner to help me raise my children provides me much more happiness than sexual polygamy or otherwise. It doesn't have shit to do with society or brainwashing, I practiced it once and decided that I didn't like it so I went to a monogamous relationship and now I am happy.

There are happy couples out there, but they don't get noticed very often because no one wants to talk about a happy couple. They want to talk about bitter divorces, spoiled ass wives and abusive husbands. Happy couples don't provide entertainment, but there are many out there. I'm happier being in a monogamous relationship. If you're happy being in a polygamous relationship, fine by me. If anyone wants to give you flack for it, to hell with them. Understand though, that if you're going to ask for someone's opinion on the subject, don't be too pissy with the results.

Completely natural. Doesn't matter to me whether someone prefers monagamy or polyamoury, for me I feel it is more comfortable to just be as you are with the people around you. In a very free love kind of way, if my S.O. and I ever saw a go with a friend or another couple, that would be fine. You bond differently with every person, and there is nothing wrong with being intimate with other pepole (be responsible kids, wrap your willies!) if that is what you wish to do.

It's not normal because once you find the one you love, jealously runs deep. You don't want anyone but yourself to have them and couldn't imagine being with anyone else but that person. They, usually, feel the same way. If you don't believe in love, then you can replace 'love' to 'love to have sex with.'
It's wrong because having multiple sex partners is how STD's are spread more and more these days

If both partners are 100% okay with it, then it's normal and it's fine.

And if both partners are 100% happy with only each other, that's normal too.

Monogamy and polygamy aren't normal or abnormal, they just are.

Here's the thing. Anything that is between two or more consenting adults is normal. To each their own.

And monogamy wasn't created by "crazy religious fanatics" since there are other religions out there in the world that allow a husband to have numerous wives. And if it really WAS created by "crazy religious fanatics" I can assure you we would have a lot more atheists promoting polygamy.

I think stucture is important. Everyone in the whole world can't be a whore. Wtf would families be like, as moral and sexual structure are important for raising children? You have clearly not given this topic enough depth of thought concerning it's ramifications both direct and indirect.

Some crazy religious laws allow polygamy. Some of the people who believe in the teachings of Muhammad Ibn `Abd Allāh Ibn `Abd al-Muttalib, do practice polygamy. Allah is Knowing of all things.

When most people say 'normal' they think 'common' or 'majority' so in that case no it isn't normal. Most people obvious are not involved in polygamist relationships.

I however don't give a shit what people do with their personal lives. If someone wants to have multiple partners in a relationship and everyone gives concent, they can have at it. It's their own lives.
