My Mom and my aunt are both in their mid-forties and only about one year apart. My aunt has tanned consistently since she was about 20, and my Mom never (purposefully) tanned in her life.
My Mother is pale, Irish, with dark brown hair and green eyes and my Aunt is tanned with dyed blonde hair and brown eyes. My Mom could pass as a decade younger and my aunt only wishes that she looked her age.
Tanning makes you look great in the short run, but considering that I have seen the way the genes play out in my family, I think I'll keep my pale skin and the extra decade of youth on my face, thanks.
Is it normal to think pale skin looks repulsive?
