Don't worry, nature has a way of balancing species out. If we get too over populated, we'll get a virus that will wipe a good portion of us out.
If that doesn't work, we'll naturally die of starvation for lack of food until we have a population that's sustainable on the current supplies.
Also, birth rates are actually declining in 1st world countries. It's the elderly and longer life expectancy that are causing the over population at the moment, not the high birth rate. In about 20-30 years they'll die off and the US will be in a better situation.
