I've always seen it in the Shakespearean sense that we're all actors on a stage, each to his own part. Some characters are tragic while others are comical; but each has their own value and story to tell.
And yes the playwright is God. =)
I like that we all have a role and value but am not so sure it's scripted for us, as if we are puppets.
