Perhaps, but the thing is people still have the right to their opinions. They can still think that something is wrong, or sinful without making a big deal about it. There are a lot of things that people post about that I completely disapprove of on this site, but this site is all about people asking others for opinions about whether, or not something is normal, or acceptable. I figure it's fine to express one's opinions about the different posts on here, but that's what this site is for of course.
What I have a problem with is when people harass their friends, neighbors, relatives and acquaintances trying to preach to them about religion, or whatever.
When I left my verbally, and emotionally abusive ex in 2017 I stayed with some relatives who were Pentecostals. I really, and truly appreciated, and am thankful for their kindness, but it made me uncomfortable knowing that they seem to think that Catholics aren't real Christians. I think they kinda wanted me to get baptized with them, and be born again, but no can do. I love my relatives very much, but I would never leave my Roman Catholic faith for anyone. I told them that I got born again with the Lakewood church, you know that Joel Osteen church on TV. I wasn't lying about having been to Lakewood, because I went one time, and actually met Joel, I've even said that sinner's prayer that he says on TV, but I would never do the whole born again spiel, because I'm happy where I am with my faith. For the record Joel Osteen is a very nice person, he seems very sincere.
A funny thing is that I told a priest at the local Catholic church in confession that was kinda happy that I don't really speak much Spanish, because I kinda had to go with my family to church to be polite, and since I don't understand much Spanish I didn't have to worry about hearing anything that would offend me, or hurt my feelings, because the Pentecostal services were in Spanish, my aunt's husband was the pastor. They are kindhearted, good, decent people, but we obviously have differences in opinion in certain things. It was certainly interesting life experience.
I try not to get too upset if people don't like my ideas, and opinions. It's okay if people disagree with me, and vice versa. Sometimes people will get mad at you if you don't like whatever they say, or make certain comments, but it's not worth it in the end to get upset, because we all have freewill, and it's okay to just let stuff roll off your back like water off a duck, because other people are powerless over what you want to think, and do.
That is all fine and well, but it is possible to take that "well everyone has their opinions!" mindset too far. I think that is starting to happen more on this site and also ib the US. If a client comes to me and says they feel healthy, and they are 5'3" 350 pounds, I will tell them they are not. If they say they are strong and they can only squat 205, I'll say they aren't very strong. If their opinions about themselves are wrong, I am going to mention it. Your not wrong, it is just that people take it too far and loose their objectivity about things sometimes. Like the heavensgate cult or whatever when it was fourty peoples 'opinion' that they would be saved if they commited suicide. That is the type of opinion that I feel responsible to take a stand on. But there are still many things that even if I don't agree with you on, if your not doing some horrible evil or lying to yourself about it, I'll let it go. For example, if someone says abortion is totally fine, I disagree, but I'm not going to try to push my pro-life belief on you. But if you think it is heathly for your to weigh 400 pounds, I am going to push my belief that that is not true on to you. It is very situational, if you catch my drift. I appreciate your thoughts!
I know you agree that opinions can be wrong. The question is : At what point or in what situations you determine when you try to convince them otherwise? And why?
Is it normal to think no major problem in this world can be fixed?

Oh, opinions can be wrong. Of course opinions can be wrong.
How does a 350 lb person who is only 5'3" wipe their ass?
There is plenty of people who have awful opinions that are clearly wrong.

I guess, you could call it to the person's attention if it's someone that is harmful to them, or someone else.
