Is it normal to think new years eve and all the partying is stupid?

I dont understand the need or desire to celebrate this. On top of it, i have to take new years day off work. Id rather have another day off.

There were people from streets away from us playing shitty fucking music all damn night and singing happy birthday for fuck knows what reason.

Fireworks displays put on by cities are a disgusting waste of money. It shits me. Spend it on something meaningful.

    Cunts. All of them.

Meh... I'm gonna be real with ya'll. How I feel about all the New Year's Eve hoopla depends on what's going on with me, and where I am in my life. I think my feelings about it are quite subjective, and fluid.

I agree I'm so sick and done with all the happy go lucky christmas/new years stuff. Come on people is just another fucking regular day nothing special about it.

I probably didn’t start it off the correct way either by starting a play through of Bloodborne at 11pm and hating the world in the first few hours of the new year.

  • While the neighbours were partying I painted the house. When they woke up to a hangover I woke up to a beautiful facade I keep for years to come. Haha.

I went to sleep on New Years. I had work this morning. It was like three times the amount due to the large amount of people calling out. Idiots.

I don't think it's stupid, I've been to some really good parties with good people over the years. But it's also fine to not like it - just don't take part.

I didn't do anything for it this year, and I can't drink alcohol anyway. I don't regret it. I went for a really nice walk with my husband this morning, followed by a trip to the beach. Not being hungover is great!

I’ve always found it funny that so many people start the year off hungover and feeling like shit. Seems silly, but then again going out with friends can be a fun way to welcome the year, I think it all just comes down to preference.

  • I spent New Years Eve working. I spent Christmas Day working as well and took no days off for the entire year of 2018. Partying is a stupid waste of time and New Years Eve is just another dumb holiday that lazy people invented so they didn’t have to be productive.
