Although newspapers are dying, there are lots of areas you can go into with a journalism degree. You can do broadcast journalism, radio journalism, online journalism, or do work with media, public relations, or communication departments. Working for radio, television, and freelance writing for online newspapers and magazines are all great opportunities for people with a journalism degree. Since you want to take photos, you might want to focus on photography in media as well. Good luck, and don't give up :)
