ikr drunk people are as annoying af when you aren't drinking lol.
But I don't think you can say people are stupid because they smoke and drink. Maybe it's just a sign of immaturity on their part, and once they've done it for a few years, they'll realize how futile it is.
That's the way it was for me, I gave up drinking because I just got tired of it. It wasn't fun anymore. I hated the hangovers, it's too expensive, too much risk of a DUI, and even chasing tail loses its appeal when it's just some bar skank you'll never see again. Also after a night at the bars I would blow my nose and the snot would be black from all the secondhand smoke, that's pretty nasty!
As far as weed goes, I never was into that. But my brother was and his experience was pretty much the same as mine with alcohol. After a while he just got tired with the whole scene, didn't want to risk getting arrested, etc.
So, maybe just let your friends make their own mistakes, they'll figure it out eventually?
