Is it normal to think moths don’t have eyes

I just assumed moths didn’t have eyes. How many people get up close and personal with a moth? Not me! Only today I realised moths do in fact have eyes on either side of their head and for some reason this has amazed me. I thought they just felt shit with their feeler things and sensed light not actually have eyes to see. I’m disappointed that I was this uneducated about moth sight up until this moment but hey ho, the more you know

    If it makes you feel better I always thought luna moths eyes were actually on the wings. Even that shit fooled me. Sometimes I wonder if they truly had eyes cause those shits never see where tf they are flying.

    Little fuckers, always flying around looking like they're convulsing in mid-air, under porch lights and bumping into shit. I hate when one manages to get in my house because they're impossible to catch.
