It's not "shallow," per se. Everyone wants to be loved, and we take attraction as a form of that. Personally, I think it's more important to be beautiful than "pretty" or "hot" or "sexy." And I take beauty to be, first and foremost, something in the soul of every human being. All you have to do is find YOUR beauty, that joy and truth and love and dignity and singularity that makes you you.
Is it normal to think it's the end of the world if you aren't pretty?
