Is it normal to think it's so tragic that it becomes funny?

This guy I know offered to donate a kidney to his dying child then found out he's not a match because he's 'unrelated'. Then he had a DNA test done on his other two kids and found out none of them are his. And subsequently his wife divorced him, shacked up with the guy she's been screwing around with and sued him for child support.

It's awful and it ruined his life. But I can't help but think it's kind of funny because it could not have gone any worse than that. The bad luck that he was living a huge lie is so crazy that it's funny to me that it actually happened.

    My ex sends me up to 50 pages of printed text letters. They are full of anguish and abolute madness. I read them and feel very sad thinking that somebody can bring themselves to such poor state of mind that it's funny

    She's so mean. And she have guts to sue him? Such a b*tch. I think it's a little bit normal to find it funny for a while but it's horrible if your friend will found out coz I bet he's really down and sad about what happened.

    How can she sue him for child support if he is not the parent? AFAIK child support only applies to your own children.

    Well it did take a funny turn for the worse.

    The wonderful thing about the English language is that the term "funny" has multiple definitions depending on context and the opinion of the person who mentioned it.

    About your friend - I didn't get the post, did his ex wife sued him or the person she was screwing around with?

    You'd be surprised how often stuff like this happens. The last estimate I saw is that around 10% of children don't have the father they think they have.

    I'd like to know who the guy is who has gone round fathering all these millions of kids.
