Is it normal to think it's silly to walk your dog at night?

I was acting intelligent on my laptop, the very improbable God knows what I was doing on it, people thought I was a dickhead, on pay day late at night I went to the service station to buy Superkings cigarettes, that was all I could afford and when I walked home at night I saw a man walking with his dog at night, he and the dog were smiling, I thought it was silly, he said "hello" and I said "Hi!", is this suspicion normal?
