Is it normal to think im developing schitzophrenia

I feel confused and stumble my words constantly. I feel like people are talking or thinking about me in negative ways when i have no rational reason to. I dont feel relaxed even with my friends anymore. Sometimes mid conversation with someone i feel this thing i can only describe as feeling like im going to jump out my own body. As well as a feeling if extreme tension from overthinking things. Is this a severe mental illness or depression/anxiety.

Do you experience hallucinations and not being able to separate fantasy from reality? You should get a diagnosis from a Psychologist. We can not provide an accurate answer for you just help you out with symptoms. Does your family or relatives have a history of mental illness such as schizophrenia? Or any mental illness? If you answered mostly yes, I suggest to get a diagnosis.

you should try out a website like mentalhealth.com/pg71.html for a diagnosis, or http://psychcentral.com/quizzes/anxiety.htm anxiety screening test or one of various others that allows you to do an online diagnostic workup for yourself. fill out some questions, educate yourself on some of the common mood disorders and mental illnesses and see what you find. take that information and see your family doctor or general practitioner, who should refer you to a good psychiatrist. a psychologist is a talk therapist and a psychiatrist is a mood disorder specialist that specializes in things like bipolar disorder, anxiety disorders and schizophrenia. Keep in mind, MENTAL ILLNESS IS COMMON AND YOU ARE NOT ALONE! an estimated 26% of Americans (and that's just over 18) suffer from mental illness of some form, 6% from serious mental illness - and your description sounds like it could be treated with a low dose of anti-anxiety medication or an anti-depressant - and MANY PEOPLE TAKE THESE. do not be afraid to get a little bit of help. find a doctor that makes you feel comfortable - they should be patient and listen to what you have to say.

It sounds like anxiety/paranoia. The feeling of "jumping out of your body" could be a panic attack, especially if you have to try to calm yourself down, which could take a few minutes.

I have experienced most of those things and it kind of happens in phases for me. I think it is because I transferred to a larger university, which was kind of a big change for me ( not to mention a few other big changes before this). I just got overwhelmed and had to confront my feelings. I'm still working on it actually, but it is much better than a couple months ago and I'm learning so much about myself...I don't know if this what you are experiencing, but if it is, ask yourself WHY? Why do I feel this way at that particular moment? And even when you think you've figured it out and feel a little better, there might be more to it. So keep trying to figure out who you are and it will get better.

The out of body experience is not a sign of schizophrenia. Its an out of body experience associated with <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out-of-body_experience" rel="nofollow">http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Out-of-body_experi...</a>

It's normal to think you are developing schizophrenia. I don't have it but I knew someone that did and he described everything you described you were feeling. I would go to a doctor and get diagnosed, at least so you know.
