  • i don't see the having conversations with characters in your head as schizophrenic . I have a character In my head i have conversations with all the time, and I'm well adjusted otherwise. now the other things, the violent mood swings and outbursts the paranoia and constant need to move, i would agree. now hearing voices is a symptom, but the voices are usually rather disjointed and may say things that are malicious, like they want to hurt you or your family, or the voices will tell you that everyone is watching you or that someone is reading your thoughts .

considering everything said, this definetly sounds like schizophrenia. i know a schizophrenic,(and seen the papers with her diagnosis) and many of the things you describe i have seen her say and do.

    • I can't agree with you more, I'm sorry to hear about the woman/girl you've mentioned, I hope she's making good progression as to getting rid of her schizophrenia! What you said struck a nerve inside me that made me tear up a bit! I also know a schizophrenic and to see her now from when I first seen her nobody would recognise her, she has progressed so much! I feel to call people with problems such as schizophrenia to be labelled mental is improper and wrong, I feel they shouldn't be made to have a label because it sticks for the rest of their lives, can you imagine the emotional distress they must experience, I can't even begin to! I can sympathise with anyone in this position, and I give credit to everyon that sticks by anyone with any problems such as schizophrenia! I feel they need to be acknowledged for what they are doing, not because they need to be to carry on doing it, just so they understand how cherished they are to the people they help! Sorry to waffle like I have but I respect you a lot man and I wish you and the woman you mentioned all the best!
