People like to talk about themselves - just as you do but few want to listen. To be sociable and welcome, all you have to do is ask them about themselves.

My family are all very sociable but neither my brother, nor my son, could repeat one single problem that they've 'listened' to that day!! But they've tons of pals who share all their problems / secrets with them ;o)
