  • Femininity is an aspect of human identity that deals with subtle emotions and concepts associated with being female. It MEANS feeling like a girl or woman, usually like a successful, confident woman - it does NOT mean being viewed as "correct" by men or even other women.
Examples of femininity include feeling sexy, feeling at peace with being romantically uninvolved, feeling accomplished in traditional female roles/activities (motherhood or marriage being prime examples), and so on.
It is NOT a specific society's definition of appropriate female behavior, such as subservience to men. The fact that you have confused the two suggests to me that you have no real conception of femininity, which is both disturbing to me as a world citizen and unsurprising to me as someone taking several gender studies classes.
I really don't mean to troll, but you, sir or ma'am, strike me as a misogynist. I would politely suggest that you broaden your intellectual horizons. Reading female autobiographies is an excellent and relatively painless way to start.
