Is it normal to think girls are prettier without makeup on?

I think it depends on the person. I've seen some women who were stunning without make-up, some who were stunning with natural looking make-up that didn't make it look like they were made-up, and some who were stunning with very heavy (but atttractive) make-up. The goth look for instance. You occasionally meet women who can pull off all three (lucky them).

I had a friend in my first job who I didn't realise I'd never seen without make-up until I was working one Saturday morning and she popped in just to say hello to me. She looked so different and I was a bit ungentlemanly in commenting on it. She definitely looked better with make-up, though.

Defiantly depends on the person, but a girl without makeup is always prettier than a girl with too much makeup, or makeup applied badly.
I seen a lot of people, older women specifically, who look fine without it. But for some reason they decide to shove a bunch of makeup on to look younger or to cover up something about their face that they think will make them look unattractive, and wind up looking way worse then if they had just left it alone or kept it simple.
Please don't overdo it ladies. Even if you think you don't look that good or look bland, just keep it simple.

I thought so, too, but I was kind of wrong. Yes, some do look better, far better, without makeup, I have met these people before, and some just look terrible with makeup, again, I have seen these types of people.

The majority of women do not look that good without makeup. Sad truth.

Actually I like some makeup on a girl it enhances an already beautiful face.

Ugh there were times I wish my gf's dressed it down cause of all the looks they'd get...I just wanted them for me only.

Natural is usually better, but I agree with dappled. Some people can work it, and some people can't.

I don't wear make up. Yea I could be a lot prettier with it but I just wouldn't be me. I did a virtual make over once, completely changed me into a different person...and I hated it

I don't like a lot of make up on the girls I've dated... and my boyfriend despises make up... which works for me because being on the helm with waves sucker punching me in the cockpit just makes mascara run resulting in some freakish black streaks from the eyes.

Abso-freaking-lutely. There is another post on that, I couldn't agree more. Make up ruins everything, it's gross and a ridiculous disguise.
