Is it normal to think George Bush wasn't all bad?

  • He was perfectly smart and a capable person, and he well aware of the consequences of his actions. Even if his advisors pressured him into the Iraq War, he was the Commander in Chief and gave the order exercising his executive authority to go into Iraq. Other things as well like devastating the economy may have been engineered by the people around him, but you can't reasonably claim that he was completely innocent in all this. I think part of his overall strategy was to play dumb so that the general public really believed he was clueless and being manipulated by smarter people in the White House, but I do believe that he knew what he was doing.
