Is it normal to think everyone is constantly watching you and judging you?

Of course, when I'm not in a social situation, I know that people actually aren't judging me like that. But everytime I'm in a social situation, unless it's just with a small amount of friends, I can only think about what people think about things I am doing and what I say and how I said them etc...

Repeat to yourself that nobody cares enough.

Not being a dick, just most people aren't going to be constantly judging small things that you do and if they are there's something mentally wrong with them. Thems the real truths. Drink a bit cause it curbs anxiety.

Is it normal to feel that way? Yep. Are they really paying that much attention to you? Probably not, unless you're acting really unusual. Most of them are also thinking about how they're fitting in the social interaction and how they are perceived.

  • What you need to understand is... Do you really think everyone is thinking about you? No way man! There worrying about there own shit.
No one is so pathetic that they sit there worrying what you do, an if they do have the time and patients to sit there judging you, then they are the weird ones!

I do the same thing, then I tell myself, you know what it doesn't matter. All is passed. Only my opinion matters.

Yes its normal. Everyone i know does this. From judging your shoes, clothes, looks, weight, physical endowments, how you speak, nervous habits, your smile, laugh, ....

You are going to be constantly judged in life. The only way to avoid it is to lock yourself in a room. You may or may not have some condition as others are describing.

Just know that yes its going to happen and you need to just learn to deal with it, via whatever means, counseling, prescribed meds, self medication, etc.

Its not sad, its normal. You have to have a way of determining who is like you, in similar, morals and ethics. You evaluate for attractiveness, nit just physical beauty, but personal beauty as well.

Think you have OCD + GAD. I have the same problem (+more) and it's very annoying to deal with, because your mind simply wont stop.

Since this behavior isn't at a level where it would be hindering you from anything, you probably don't need medication, but you might need a therapist for a while to help you understand what you have and where to start.

Because you have it, you can diagnos it? Dumb

Sigh.... This is what I get for being empathetic.

Anyway, never said it's what the OP (or you if you're OP) has. Key word is, "Think," since it sounds similar to the beginning stages of what I've experienced before it gradually got worse. However, I'm no professional, which is why I suggested she/he (or you) see a therapist for real answers/help.

However, I don't care to fight over this; hope the OP (or you) gets help.

Isn't it just S.A? I dont think they have GAD, GAD is more intense and elaborate than what OP just described

            Realistically, none of us knows.

One thing I've learned is that it's rare that anyone actually post everything they're feeling in one post, especially topics like mental illness and relationships. I spoke from a personal point of view and made a guess, not a definitive answer. Without knowing the OP personally, we can't diagnose S.A, but we can make suggestions for him/her to think about and research.

Very true. People don't tend to post the whole story because they want to avoid tl;dr and would prefer to get proper responses.
