  • I think you should check out CGP Grey's videos "Americapox: The Missing Plague" and its extension "Zebra vs Horses: Animal Domestication." They sound kinda boring but I swear they're actually really cool! Apparently it's because certain places had animals that were easier to domesticate, which led to people staying in one place more, which led to people congregating in one place, which led to communities and then towns and then cities and so on. The videos have a lot more information and are worth the watch if you're curious!
