Is it normal to think "asexuality" is totally not a thing?

  • But if their sexual feelings are not a product of or directed towards either sex, what should they refer to their orientation as?

    • Interesting question. Like if you use a vibrator to get off, you aren't attracted to a specific gender. I think it would be about what you were thinking about at the time.

      • They aren’t thinking about anything, just enjoying the feeling.

        • You sure it ain't subconsious or something? I am not saying for sure, its just an idea. But when I jack off with no stimuli just to feel good, is it possible in my subconcious I am imagining a woman sucking on or being penetrated by it?

          • By that logic then it’s just as possible your subconscious is imagining a man sucking or being penetrated by it, making you gay or bi, right?

            • Well it would be possible, but not 'just as' possible because a much lower percentage of poeple are gay than straight. But if you are gay or bi, then sure! Why not?

              • Youre saying that subconsciously asexuals masturbate to something they're not consciously attracted to. In that case it must also be a possibility that you subconsciously masturbate to men. Does that mean it's unacceptable to call yourself straight?
