I was reading about androgynes the other day. I almost feel that way myself. I'm still navigating the world of gender, reading and hoping to find something that clicks with my level of discomfort with binary identification. You're further along the road of self-discovery than I am.
How is it acceptable for someone to just redefine obvious biological notions and archetypes that are definitive, by simply imposing logical people to readjust their perception of someone solely based on flawed standards of identity caused by confusion and hormonal imbalance?
What if someone identified as a cabbage? Would I need to feel morally obligated to take their free will into consideration, by not cutting them and putting them in my salad?

If it were the culprit, wouldn't that have made me embrace my female-ness?

Actually, I found out that I was an Androgyne. I only thought I was Transgender due to a nutritional deficiency. Sorry, about that!
