1) You having sex at 13 has nothing to do with age of consent; you were not getting fucked by a 30 year old and liking it.
2) In the animal kingdom, of which we are a part of, there are different phyla, classes, orders, and families, genera, and species for practical purposed. Like, to tell us that the human is behaviorally and morphologically different from a mountain lion. If two species can't bread to make viable offspring, there is no ground for assuming that they both should be reproducing at the same time within their own species.
3) Menstruation is usually one of the first, if not the first, events of puberty. And if your going to make the argument that age of consent should be reined in until menstruation, why should people bother drawing a line, I mean really, what is a year or two or five?
What you're advocating is not children having sex with themselves, which they already legally do, but adults having sex with defenseless children.
Which brings up the issue: children have no rights. You give a child the right to have sex, OR RATHER, take away his/her right to not have sex...why not just throw em' in a cage and feed em' kitty litter? Or, how about give them all their other rights, like driving, voting, buying stocks, or starting a business? I mean GOLLY GOSH they are menstruating and growing pubes! They're like fun-sized adults!
