Thank you for this detailed comment, it's a relief to talk to someone else who went through the same thing and is doing better now.
A few months ago I told a girl I was dating about it, and she got very panicky so I haven't told anyone since.
I also told my therapist (who I see once a month) that I have problems with self-injury, and I told my psychiatrist (a few years ago, when I had a psychiatrist) that I have issues with intrusive thoughts. I'm not sure I ever talked in detail about the two issues together, though. I should probably do that.
IIN to think about self-injury all the time?
