Is it is normal to think maybe you would be a different person if you didn't have sex with that one person you wished you never had sex with? Do you ever think and regret hooking up with anyone?
It is normal to think about past hookups, but at a certain point it can become unhealthy (Speaking from experience). It is possible that if someone didn't get with someone else, they could be different as a person, but I don't think the difference would be extreme. I think refraining could have a more significant impact on choices and behavior following the get - together; but I think it also can depend on whether the encounter/relationship was a positive or negative one overall.
I do think about past relationships/hookups and I do regret some, but I realize that I will not waste my time because I can't change the past. What I can change are my actions in the future.
