Is it normal to think about cutting when I hear anything about it

  • It is so very normal. I have a hard time fighting the urge when I am feeling a little down. The best thing I can do is put a rubberband around my wrist and snap it a couple of times. This gives a similar sensation, without the physical act of cutting. Good luck, but it is a life long struggle. I haven't cut for about 6 years and still have urges.
