Is it normal to think about aging and my own mortality?

  • I think we all think about death the older we get. It's true what they say, beauty is wasted on the youth.

At this age (40), I really have my act together. But then it took all those years to make me the focused and seasoned man I've become.

I'm about to shift my career into high gear soon out of a regular white collar job into something far more lucrative. Not something I could've done in my early 20s. I'll probably become financially independent in a year or two.

I figure that I'm still in my prime for health, intelligence and so forth, so I intend to get the most out of my life before I begin to decline once I head into my 60s.

Hopefully by then I'll have realized some of my goals/ambitions I've set out for myself-one of which is to start a company to make some products I have in mind for the aviation field.

    Though I wish I could've stayed 30 forever. :)
