Is it normal to tell someone not only what to do but how to do it?

I have the bad habit of not only telling my husband and men in general what to do but also how to do it. I don't do it all the time however I do with my husband. I'm also a manager of a team and when I come home I manage my family and specifically my husband. Is this normal?

    yeah it is norm but not stand over the person and keep telling that is not.

    controlling people will only drive them away to be more independant and not what you around... just relax and try your hardest to stop this.

    Normal, Yes. Prudent, probably not. If he seems unhappy then you need to stop ... Then again, he did marry you, maybe he likes you to take charge.
