Is it normal to tap all the time?

Sit on your hands or at the very least tap on a soft surface like your leg and not on a desk or make a noise with it.

When I'm at school kids tap on their desk all the time with their pencils and they beat-box. It's annoying but I eventually got used to it.

My mother used to do this, & it drove me up the wall, but then she had mental health issues.

Get a little toy you can play with that you can keep in your pocket that doesnt make noise. i have a bendy necklace/circle thing i got at the bookstore and its PERFECT! i used to always tap my hands especially watching movies and such, but now i just play with my quiet toy lol

I'm literally always doing this, and I get a lot of funny stares sometimes. Very normal, though.

I absolutely HATE people who tap all the time. I believe everyone needs a thing that they do that helps them think, so to avoid any annoying habits, I have gotten into the habit of twirling my pencil (if I happen to be holding one) around on my fingers. By doing this, I am able to think clearly and it doesn't annoy anyone.

Perhaps, you can distract yourself with something? Otherwise, it's normal. Sometimes, I thump my shoes to music.
Tapping can be irritating, especially if it's loud. People have different ideas on things to do, but that shouldn't stop you from doing something you love.
