Is it normal to take up more than your share of parking on a street

I got some new neighbors, Mexicans, the wife (a serious p.i.t.a) thinks she can park in the street, where I usually park, and take up extra space so I cant park there anymore, today, I parked my car there and when I got out, she turned her sprinklers on and totally got my car wet, when I moved it, she shut them off, her husband spoke to MY husband about the incident and said it really upset his wife....are you kidding me with this?? am I wrong? I want to kick her fat ass!!

No, you are not in the wrong. The road is council/city property so (I am assuming the USA is the same as New Zealand) you legally have just as many rights to park on the road as she does. She does not own the road so she has no rights in terms of making you move your car or telling you where you can and can't park your car. The only rights she would have would be if you were parking your car on her private land but your not.

She seems an odd woman with problems though.

The road is owned by council, so you have rights to make her pay a fee- or whatever, if she parks on your property. however if it's just on the side of the road then that's a totally different story.
