It's the sign of a sadist, so it's more of a personality disorder. So it doesn't really affect them mentally at all, they think clearly but are not great human beings. And it's fixed too, an animal torturer is going to be sadistic life long.

True, but that's because a sadist doesn't know he's bad, nor do they really set out to be "evil". They just get a strange high and/or comfort from seeing pain, and have no real understanding of why.
No that is untrue and not all sadist like to kill animals. A lot of sadists are sadistic but not murderers or animal abusers. A sadist is someone sadistic and you can be sadistic without killing and mutilating things. Your actions would go with your disorder.
Is it normal to take pleasure in torturing weak animals?

Also not all sadist are that bad. You can be a little sadistic and not be a bastard.
