Well it's all semantics I guess. How could you go along with animal torture?
Another arguement that could be made is that the OP specified "weak" animals. Would it be OK for me to torture a lion?
The OP stated that (s)he ran the guinea pig under some cold water and got a thrill when it shrieked. I'd say that's a helluva lot better than something gruesome and not giving a fuck. The OP is likeley a youngster getting a taste of bloodlust that lurks in all humans.
What constitutes torture? I lived on a farm for a while. There's nothing pretty about some of the stuff that went on there. Not because anyone wanted to cause undue suffering, but because that's the way things work on a farm, and believe me we were very well funded and could afford lots of amenities for the animals that a subsistence farmer couldn't.
Folks are removed from these realities nowadays.
I'm no shrink myself, but hopefully I could spot and keep my animals away from someone evil.
