Is it normal to take meds when you desire them?

Irish Moss, Avil, Panamax, Advil, Telfast, even Aspro Clear (my aspirin), whenever I want them for my various illnesses, I go to the shop to buy them and I take them, Irish Moss is a drug-free cough syrup, Avil is tablets to stop itching (I normally take them at Mum's house), Panamax is paracetamol, and Advil is capsules for pain, Telfast is for hayfever which I have a bit of. I often have millions of meds with me and take them, people think this is risky, is that normal?

    the DR says take how many and how often there are reasons for that. When people don't finish the meds antibiotics as prescribed by the Doc,that's where the drug resistants strains get their start

      He said "whenever I want them for my various illnesses," not that he just needs something to swallow.
