Most times it wouldn't show up on camera. I don't stand there, look around obviously and above large items in my coat.
I steal small stuff like pills or lipstick, pick it up, put in the cart, walk around and pay for other items while hiding one or two. Camera would likely never even see as Im moving around the store.
I'm klepto not dumb :)
