Is it normal to substitute clorox for toothpaste?

So ran out of toothpaste at home and i noticed at walmart there was this cleaning product that was much cheaper. It cleans things just like toothpaste and its cheaper, so why wouldn't i use it to shower, and brush my teeth. Makes sense to me.

Bleach will dissolve the cell walls of your skin, essentially, slowly liquifying you. Would not recommend.

It would depend on what kind of cleaning product...baking powders and baking sodas have been known to be used as toothpaste substiutes...but bleach is toxic when taken internally (have you ever read the use directions on a Clorox bottle?)

One time I was taking out my tampon and as I was, dropped it on the floor. My husband at the time (Paul Walker, RIP Paul :( ) was walking and then slipped on the tampon and hit the floor and got a concussion and had some serious brain damage, i said, "Paul, no." and he looked dissapointed and ran into the bathroom and started brushing his teeth with clorox, just as you did. Paul then died 6 and a half minutes later. I'll never forget him.

  • Clorox products contain chlorine bleach, which is a great disinfectant but is not safe to apply in your mouth or anywhere else on your body. Why is it not safe? Because chlorine bleach eats away at your body's cells, it burns through living tissues.

You need to carefully read the label on the Clorox product that you bought and follow what it says - and it will say to use the product on inanimate objects only.
