Those people judging you have never been in your situation. Fuck em. To go from poverty to medical school is no small feat. Find a high paying job with plenty of vacation time and enjoy the safety and comfort that you never had as a child.
That's what I intend to do. I can't imagine any greater happiness than knowing my future family doesn't have to deal with the things I did. It just sucks going to shadowings and having someone scoff at me because I'm "just in this for the money".
As long as I perform my duties well - it shouldn't matter.
