  • i am/was suffering from depression and social anxiety and i turned into a very silent person. before, i was out-going and used to talk nonsense all the time. after a few fights at school i moved, i stopped going out with friends and spent all my time on my own smoking weed. after a while, i just stopped talking. i felt insecure when talking to people outside my family, like every word i said was making me look like a fool. i started to trick my mind into thinking i was a lot better than everyone around me and didn't feel the need to make pointless coversation with anyone. i would go for days without saying a word. but you'll come to realise (even if you've always been a quiet person) not opening your mouth will get you nowhere in life. ii started seeing my friends and going out again and gradually i've become more out-going again. spending too much time on your own also causes people to not feel need to talk. so think about what i've told you and see if there's anything you can make changes to in your life that may stop making you feel this way, because being totally silent isn't really worth it!
