Is it normal to STILL not really know your left from right very well?

  • There are many correlations between dyslexia, ambidexterity, and left-right confusion. I don't suffer dyslexia, but I am fairly ambidextrous and my left-right confusion is legendary. Anyone who knows me well and needs me to move somewhere quickly just points where they want me to go.

And I can't tell you how many people have lost their temper when they've asked me to act at navigator in a car, even though I tell them it really isn't going to work. It's like they think I'm putting it on as a private joke. Which, to be fair, is the kind of thing I'd do. But in this case, it's real.

I've gradually found ways of dealing with it. Hope you do too.
