With growing population (as they say) I ask myself where would all those new houses and apartments for such as you be built?
That's the agenda: instead of being empowered by inheritance let all young people move out of their ancestor's properties and become slaves to the banks for their new homes. Then your children will do the same, and their children... repeat.
You say your parents are old. Stay with them and give them the helping hand if they need it, and when they pass away you will be free man with your own fully paid property.
