To be clear, Jared was promptly fired (at least promptly once his deeds became public) so I don't think he's getting any further money from them when I buy a sandwich.
Nah, it's actually a funny story. He was just a random fat dude who decided he could lose weight by walking a little and eating mainly at Subway. And surprisingly, this apparently worked. So Subway started using him to promote their chain as a healthy option.
