I had an operation on Monday as my appendix was inflamed, they took it out and it's now Thursday nite and I'm still as sore as I was right after surgery. They said it should start to feel less painful within 48 hours but it hurts so much still. Is it normal to still b this sore and how long did it take u to feel slightly better if u had your appendix taken out? Please comment, thanks!!
i waited three days before i decided to take my appendix out ( i thought it was just a stomach virus at first) it took me one whole day before i got discharged from the hospital and a week before i could go back to school and a month before the soring went away so yeah i say its pretty normal.
Glad you went to the doctor. I was going to tell you that it took about a week after my appendix ruptured and was removed before I started feeling better. I didn't exactly follow doctors orders and tried getting up and doing things faster than I should have.. My bad! I know everyone heals differently, but my best advice is to listen to what YOUR body is telling you. You know if something ain't right. Always seek medical attention immediately following surgery when you "know" that it's just not right! Hope you are on your way to a speedy recovery!
It's now Friday nite and the pain is still horrid!! I went out today to the shops for an hour with my bestie to buy a bday oressue for my dad but an hour is all I could handle! I keep hoping that I'll just all of a sudden feel better! The pills have made me constipated and I'm having prune juice so maybe the gas is also slowing down my recovery! How long did it take others to feel good?? I still can't walk really well
It's normal 48 hours is just the average amount of time it takes for people to start feeling better,i think you should give it a few more days before you start to worry, you not really that far over the 48 hour mark so it would be best just to rest and take it easy.
