IIN to stick to one type of painting method like only drawing anime?

  • If you really want to be an artist, many art schools will definitely reject you if all you draw is anime. But, if it's just a hobby and your career path has nothing to do with art then there's nothing wrong.

    But there are good sites to help you learn other ways of drawing. I have been drawing since I was very young. When I was 6 I liked to draw bird people, when I was in my teen years I loved drawing anime ... but as I grew older and I realized art was my passion (mostly making comics), I realized quickly that only knowing anime was going to get me absolutely nowhere. It's good to know how to draw environments, and the best practise is just drawing what's in front of you until everything becomes second nature.

    And the best thing about learning how to draw other things, and realistic anatomy, is that your anime-drawings will be 10x better, and you'd probably be able to make a really nice comic or something. : D
