Is it normal to stay awake for 36 hrs after one energy drink

I seem to be completely unable to tolerate caffeine. If I have any amount during the day, it is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep. Today I had an energy drink at 2pm. 12 hours later and I'm still awake, heart pounding. I know I won't sleep again until tomorrow night (technically tonight). Same thing happens with a cup of coffee. What gives? Is this normal?

Lucky you haven't had a heart attack yet. Cut out the caffeine. Drink beer.

I took some stupid pill with bitter orange in it back in January, it was like a six hour panic attack in a bottle. Fuck that shit!

Yes. It is even normal to stay awake for 36 hours without having energy drink.

Could you explain? I don't know anyone who will naturally stay awake for two days and feel fine

when you get used to staying awake over the years, then being awake for 2 days is nothing. I have done that for years now and have stay awake for days when i have deadlines. The max i have done is 5 and half day...with some micro sleep here and there.
