When I was in elementary school, my best friend started to annoy me, too. It got to the point where if she called, I would ask my mother to tell her I'm not home. Admittedly, not one of my proudest experiences.
Similar situation with one of my friends, sort of. We aren't drifting apart and things were fine before, but when we decided to room together during the school year, she drove me CRAZY. She talked WAY too much about insignificant matters like MLP, she NEVER cleaned her part of the room during those two semesters and trust me when I say she lived like the dirtiest pig ever, she left browned underwear on the floor, etc. Now that we're not living together, things are back to normal.
