Aren't most people starting a new school when they start 7th grade? I mean, I'm not sure how it works these days, but when I was a kid, 7th grade was the beginning of what we then referred to as "junior high school," but what is now referred to as "middle school."
All that aside, I was a military brat, so we moved frequently. I'm not positive I could accurately recall all of the elementary schools I attended - but there are at least 5 that I can remember, plus 2 junior high schools and 1 high school (my father retired from the military just before I entered high school). So, if you're a military brat, it is normal to change schools pretty frequently.
