You know that this is unhealthy and not normal. You should not even need to ask. Who cares what kind of job or car he has anyways, maybe there is something about him that you don't know. Maybe he secretly is suffering from hiv positive or his wife or girlfriend had a still birth or something. No one is perfect. You are wasting your precious time obsessing over someone else. Maybe you the real reason you are doing this is that you are subconsciously too scared to move forward with your own life, or you just do not know what to do yet.
