Is it normal to sometimes wonder if plants really don't have feelings?

I tend to feel bad or guilty when I rip out grass when I sit on it or something.

Is It Normal?

  • They do have feelings. They also make lovely ambient music when hooked up to special machines.

  • I always feel guilty picking flowers, and chopping carrots.. always carrots! i think they might, who knows. YOu know they can turn direction to face the sun, that makes me think theyre more concious than we think.

  • Plants may not have conscious feelings like you and me, but they are living things that deserve respect and consideration, just like any living thing, so maybe they just have a different type of "feeling."

    P.S. Plants FTW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Plants are living things, and we should treat them with respect, but they don't have feelings. Do they?

  • We and nature are children of the same maker.
We should treat it like we would treat our family.

  • And so you should.
The indigenous people of the world speak to the plants when they pick them. They thank them for the food they give. Personally I chat to my plants all the time. I even joke around with them "hiya cactus you little prick, howya doing?"
"Hey Rose you sure look good today!"
"oh,maryjane you and I are gonna have some fun tonight."

  • I love plants!!! They do have feelings, so respect them. Buy you flowers earings and hook them on their leaves. Grasses like peanuts, honey roasted so feed them those. And trees are tricky, they like to drive hummers. Fufill these needs and you wont feel bad anymore!
